M J Painting Contractor, a nationwide company, offers certified, professional, safe and efficient energy services to the oil and natural gas industry, interior and exterior painting for industrial complexes and commercial buildings. In addition, M J Painting offers regional church painting, exterior hotel painting and a 6,000 square foot in-shop blasting and coating facility to accommodate special coating and blasting projects.
In May of 2019 we opened our second location in Canonsburg, PA, a suburb of Pittsburgh, PA.

Services include surface preparation, masking, environmental containment, above ground pipe coating, below ground pipeline coating, epoxy pipe line coatings, spy holiday detection, sand blasting, vapor blasting, high pressure vapor blasting, high pressure power washing, internal diameter blasting and coating, certified plural component applications, specialized fireproofing surface preparation, oil refinery fireproofing, petrochemical fireproofing, other industrial intumescent fireproofing, architectural intumescent and cementitious coatings, wall coverings, scaffolding, aerial lifts, hand tools, high ceilings, commercial hotel exterior painting, church interior and exterior painting, steeple painting, yearly maintenance painting, traffic marking parking lots and walkways.
M J Painting specializes in application of epoxy coatings, DENSO® and SPC® certified applications, SPC- 2888® applicators, Sherwin Williams self cleaning coatings, fireproofing coatings, certified fireproofing surface preparation, epoxy pipeline coating and internal diameter blasting and coating. Further services include project management, quality control documentation (QC), site shutdown, local municipality traffic control, pedestrian diversion, and local government permits and permissions. M J Painting owns two mobile spray rigs equipped with precision tools, product and equipment necessary for onsite project completion, and an onsite sandblast shop with air filtration system, exhaust and down draft booth for specialty coating and painting.

Family Owned
A family owned business, M J Painting began in 1970 when President Mike John started his business in his parent’s basement. In 1994 he moved the company to a facility in Olean, NY, and by 2002 it was time to expand to its current location. Since then, the painting and coating company continues to expand by opening an office in Pittsburgh, PA.
