Ensuring Pipeline Safety with Recent Midstream Project

MJP Energy Services recently completed a crucial project for a national fuel client, showcasing our know-how and hands-on experience in the midstream sector of the oil and gas industry. This project focused on coating pig launchers, receivers and valves – all essential components used in the critical process of cleaning pipelines.

Pipelines are the backbone of the oil and gas industry, transporting huge quantities of fuel across vast distances. However, these pipelines require regular cleaning to maintain optimal performance and safety.

This is where pigs, or specialized cleaning tools, come into play. Launcher receivers are used to insert the pig into the pipeline, while pig tanks capture the debris removed during the cleaning process. Valves play a vital role in controlling the flow of gas during cleaning operations.

In addition to blasting and coating, anti-corrosion wrap was applied for air to soil transitions, rock shield applied for maximum impact protection and yellow safety paint was used on the tank’s ladder and railings, enhancing visibility and preventing potential accidents.
