Surge Tank Recoat Project
Surge Tank located at a Northwest PA compressor Station
It’s TANK Thursday! This surge tank located at a compressor station in Northwest PA needed to be refurbished. Exposed to the elements over the years, rust had started to develop on the surface which threatens the structural integrity of the tank. The best way to combat the rust and corrosion is to sandblast the surface down to the substrate. M J P crews then applied two coats of epoxy primer and one coat of Hi-Solids polyurethane epoxy finish. To complete the project we then applied the vinyl decals. This tank is now ready to withstand whatever mother nature sends it’s way for years to come.
